Zoning official reports uptick in online permit applications; new home approved on Millville Shannon Road

Barry, the township zoning official, told trustees the office has seen active permitting and an increased share of online applications, reporting that online submissions now account for roughly 73.7% of applications. He said July permitting shows fewer submissions than June but that the office has approved a new single-family home to be built on Millville Shannon Road, multiple accessory-structure permits and a commercial sign permit.
"July, we had 13 permits, so far in July we're at 6, 2 month total, 19. Our online applications are up. So we're at 73.7%, which is great," Barry said. He said updated 2026 zoning resolution books will be printed in sets for trustees, the fiscal office and the fire department and that an online version should be posted shortly. Barry also said the zoning commission will review drafted bylaws at its August meeting and that a code-enforcement position has been posted on the zoning page.
