The Bristow City Council approved a consent agenda on Sept. 15 that included several payroll and claim items. The council approved actual payroll of $103,771.53 and estimated payroll of $116,953.09, maintenance claims of $18,647.33 and $86,068.39, and an unpaid claim of $29.27. The roll-call vote was taken after Councilmember Joe Church moved and Judd Johns seconded the motion; the motion passed with Church, Fletcher, Deshazo, Green, Groom, Johns and Witty voting Aye.
The consent agenda also authorized grant-funded and contract payments tied to the Bristow Heartland Industrial Park and other services: Claim #20159 to Holloway, Updike & Bellen, Inc. for $7,500 for final design engineering (paid from an Oklahoma Department of Commerce grant), Claim #20160 to Andy Armstrong for $1,000 for grant administration, and Claim #20161 to The Childs Firm, PLLC for $1,775 for legal work. The council approved an independent contractor agreement with Leann Adkins to work at the Recycling Center (blanket P.O. not to exceed $5,200 for a 12‑month period starting Aug. 30, 2025).
