Carmel board clears agreement to let Mesquite Productions/Netflix use Town Hall for filming

The Town Board of the Town of Carmel on July 27 approved a resolution authorizing entry into an agreement with Mesquite Productions Inc. for temporary use of town hall facilities for filming, subject to proof of insurance acceptable to the town attorney.
The resolution authorizes the town supervisor, Michael Kizzari, or deputy supervisor Frank Lombardi to execute the agreement once evidence of insurance is provided. Councilman Kearns told the board, "The last couple weeks, about a month, we had, Netflix had reached out to the town of Carmel, looking to shoot a TV show here," and described efforts to minimize disruption to town operations.
The board approved the resolution by roll call. The agreement on file with the town supervisor will be executed after the production supplies the required insurance documentation; the resolution does not include financial terms or specific filming dates.
