"Be it resolved that the Town Board of the Town of Carmel hereby authorizes the settlement of the aforementioned litigation," the resolution stated as read by Councilman Schiano.
The resolution authorized Costello & Fulchetti LLP to sign the stipulation of settlement and corresponding consent judgment on behalf of the town. The board approved the measure by roll call vote; members voted in the affirmative and the resolution passed.
