Council OKs $6,173 for three laptops for mayor, animal control and Ward 1

At the Oct. 8 special meeting the council approved a $6,173 quote from Nobel Systems to replace three laptops assigned to the mayor, the animal control office and the Ward 1 councilmember. City Clerk Sabrina Mounce said the replacements were necessary "due to the Windows no longer supporting Windows 10." The motion passed on roll call with Councilmember Frank Groom recording a No vote.
Councilmember Joe Church moved to approve the quote and Councilmember Kevin Deshazo seconded the motion. The minutes show the purchase will be processed through the city's procurement procedures and charged to the budget line cited in the quote.
