The Bristow City Council approved a Dobson Fiber quote to upgrade connectivity for city facilities, contingent on Dobson returning a reduced price for the pool connection. A Dobson representative described a package that would deliver 2 Gbps up and down to city facilities, with City Hall slated to receive 2 Gbps. City Attorney Beth Anne Childs and the Dobson representative discussed that the pool service appeared overpriced given it operates only part of the year, and the vendor said he would seek a reduction and target roughly $100 per month (about $1,200 per year) in savings for the pool connection.
The motion to approve the quote contingent on a reduced pool price was made by Councilmember Joe Church and seconded by Judd Johns; roll call approval recorded Church, Fletcher, Groom, Deshazo, Johns and Witty voting Aye.
