Bristow council approves consent agenda covering $280K in claims, funds forensic laptop

The Bristow City Council voted on Oct. 6 to approve meeting minutes and a broad consent agenda that included maintenance and payroll claims and a forensic laptop purchase. The consent items recorded: Maintenance Claims of $129,358.92; Un‑paid Claims $15,426.62; Paid Claims $15,003.37; Actual Payroll Claims $100,821.76 (pay period ending Sept. 26, 2025); and Estimated Payroll Claims $115,346.55 (pay period ending Oct. 10, 2025). The council also approved Claim #20162 to Andy Armstrong for $1,000 (grant administration for the Heartland Industrial Park) and Blanket Claim #16408 to Bank of Oklahoma for $80,077.51 (OWRB WWTP loan six‑month payment).
Detective Tommy Mason addressed the council after the vote and thanked members for approving the forensic laptop purchased from Digital Intelligence for $8,508.99, noting the item will be paid from the Grant Fund and reimbursed by an OSBI grant. The motions to approve the minutes and the consent agenda passed on roll call votes, with Councilmember Joe Church moving to approve the minutes (seconded by Randy Witty) and Councilmember Judd Johns moving the consent agenda (seconded by Kevin Deshazo).
