Union City Borough Council voted to approve a resolution supporting Erie County’s effort to develop a new countywide comprehensive housing plan. Councilor Osborn moved, Councilor Steadman seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Council discussion noted the county will use MAP grant funds and Act 137 (Affordable Housing Act) deed-transfer funds to develop recommendations intended to improve quality and affordability. Councilors said several borough residents have applied for Act 137 funds based on income.
