At the Oct. 9 meeting Finance Officer Brandy Skonhovd informed the Viborg City Council that a $6.30 sewer surcharge will be added to utility bills beginning with the November billing cycle (bills due in December) to pay for improvements to the sewer system.
Skonhovd also updated the council on sewer-related maintenance: the new Solarflo2 installation in the lagoon, the status of the sewer camera and clean-out, and potential funding paths for piping associated with the 2027 Highway 19 project. Council discussion included budget worksheets and quarterly expenditure reports provided by finance staff.
