The Viborg City Council on Oct. 9 approved two resolutions: Resolution #2024-09, which supplements the Sanitation Fund using proceeds from a State of South Dakota mosquito grant, and Resolution #2024-10, which records the anticipated effects of IM28 on the city.
Mayor John Edelman read both resolutions aloud; Resolution #2024-09 was approved on a motion by Councilor Shelley DeJong with a second from Ross Frederickson. Resolution #2024-10 was likewise moved by DeJong and seconded by Frederickson and carried with all councilors voting in favor. The record shows the actions as supplemental budgeting for the sanitation fund and a formal notation of IM28 impacts for the city's files.
