Attorney: Carrus still awaiting Critical Access designation for Bristow hospital

Attorney Beth Anne Childs told the Bristow Hospital Authority on Sept. 16 that Carrus Lakeside Health, L.L.C. has submitted an application for Critical Access designation for the hospital at 700 West 7th Street and that the application remains under review.
"We are still waiting for Critical Access status," Childs said, adding that Carrus and the City submitted information about the period when the hospital was closed and that some of that material "was not good." She said the Phase II inspection has occurred and the parties hope to receive an update by Friday.
The minutes record that no representatives of Carrus delivered a formal presentation that evening. The authority did not provide patient census figures, current license or Medicare permit status, or other operational metrics in the minutes.
