Mountain Valley Health Center plans 50th-anniversary event; Selectboard approves three hours of sheriff coverage

Esther Fishman, speaking during Visitors and Concerned Citizens, announced that the Mountain Valley Health Council will hold a 50th-anniversary celebration for the Mountain Valley Health Center on June 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., under a tent at the clinic with parking at Flood Brook School. Fishman asked the Selectboard for police presence or portable "stop/slow" signage because the clinic driveway is on a curve for eastbound traffic.
Town Administrator Aileen Tulloch said she would contact Sheriff Anderson to confirm coverage and determine whether it would fall under Londonderry’s contracted sheriff hours or require separate payment by the council. Selectboard member Leanne Alexander moved to approve use of the Sheriff's Department for a three-hour period on June 20; the motion passed unanimously. "The event will be held under a tent at the clinic, with parking available at Flood Brook School," Fishman said when announcing the plans.
