Planning commission delays transportation section, sets fourth-Monday meeting schedule
Summary
The commission agreed it has more time to update the Town Plan following WRC approval in 2025, tabled the Transportation section until staff can attend, scheduled a July 13 meeting to discuss a Selectboard public hearing, and voted to meet on the fourth Monday each month beginning July 27.

Pamela J. Spaulding told the commission that an email from Matt Bachler indicated the Town Plan had been approved by the Windham Regional Commission in 2025 and that the commission therefore has additional time to update the plan. The commission agreed to prioritize the by-laws and to return to plan updates afterward.
Spaulding moved to table discussion of the Transportation section until Taylor Prouty could attend; Trevor Powers seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Spaulding said she would invite Taylor to the July 27 meeting and recommended a July 13 meeting specifically to prepare for the Selectboard public hearing on July 6.
The commission also voted to adopt a standing schedule, with meetings on the fourth Monday of each month beginning July 27 unless a special meeting is called. The commission did not take final action on Town Plan content at the meeting; the Transportation section remains tabled pending staff attendance.
