Housing commission presses for smaller lots and more multi‑unit options in RR1

Nancy Jenson and Maryann Morris both voiced support for smaller lots and for allowing more multi‑unit housing closer to schools. Chair Brent Bammarito asked whether the Housing Commission had specific parcels in mind; Maryann told the commission she favored more capacity in RR1. Zoning Administrator William Goodwin replied that the one‑acre minimum was selected on septic practicality grounds until new septic systems are installed, and that "assisted living could be done in RR1 and RR3." Commissioners discussed outreach to residents in areas that could be rezoned before any final change was adopted.
