The council approved two procurement items on July 27: a contract for audit services and a construction contract to replace the surface at Farrington Park.
Council moved to finalize an auditor engagement following staff review; council approved the final contract as presented. Separately, procurement recommended Lanier Plans, Inc. (doing business as COCAD) for a pour‑in‑place playground surfacing project at Farrington Park at a construction cost of $76,037; the project is supported by a tire‑product grant that exceeds the contract amount. Council approved the playground contract 3–0 and staff said work is expected to be completed within weeks of notice to proceed.
Both contracts were approved by recorded vote. Staff will proceed with contract execution and issue notices to proceed according to the procurement schedule.
