Council orders mowing and tax assessment for derelict property; zoning inspector raises broader maintenance concerns

Zoning Inspector Ted Foster told council that a letter sent to the Warehime property was returned as undeliverable and that the property is currently for sale. Foster said other village properties have high grass, discarded appliances, and clutter that will receive violation letters. He also raised an issue about pine trees along 6th Street NW; Mayor Metzger said he will ask Street Superintendent Matt Miller to measure and set stakes before contacting property owners about the trees.
