Council orders removal of fences encroaching on boat ramp property

Residents urged the council to consider the history of the fences. "There is no reason to keep something there just because it has been there a long time," said Carolyn Bahrman during public comment. Michael Salch warned that moving the fence could have a significant impact on the Gentry family, noting a prior mayor had allowed the fence to remain. The council voted to enforce property boundaries and set follow-up at the next meeting to allow Gentrys to propose modifications.
