Village Administrator Mike Rosenberry told the council that materials and planning are underway to pursue grant funding for a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) expansion. He said the village has an upcoming meeting with the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and OMEGA on June 3 to "discuss grant options and discuss requirements and plan of action to complete submission for the WWTP expansion project."
Rosenberry also flagged a June 12 OMEGA meeting focused on street and road requirements tied to short-notice grant opportunities. No dollar amounts or preliminary engineering estimates for the WWTP expansion were provided during the meeting; Rosenberry said the meeting with EDA/OMEGA is the next step in preparing application materials.
