Chamber liaison Councilor Barb Hilty reported the Chamber currently has about 80 members, announced the Winter Wonderland tree lighting on Dec. 7 and said the next Chamber mixer will be Nov. 7 at Abby's Pizza from 5:30–7 p.m. Community Center representative Councilor Barb Gregory said bingo has restarted (four weekly sessions), a staff appreciation event is being planned for February, and a sponsored free dinner is being planned for regular attendees in November if a sponsor can be found.
Staff also reminded residents that ballots are available and that a ballot drop box is located at the Rogue River Public Library. The meeting record notes Halloween trick‑or‑treating and a parade on Oct. 31, an AARP tax-prep training at the Community Center, bi-monthly veterans assistance sessions, Abby's Pizza offering free Halloween pizzas to children, and a Grange event giving away free ice cream.
