She noted the department received a seasonal staffing grant from the state fire marshal to fully fund two seasonal firefighter‑EMTs from July through October to support increased summer call volumes and region‑wide wildfire response. Captain Grace said the city also received a Type 1 response package from Oregon Emergency Management that may include 40‑foot Connex boxes, communications gear (including Starlink), generators, pallets of MREs and water.
