Osage City students and coach lauded after forensics season success

"Forensics has always been a place where students alike and different have been able to come in and feel like they can be themselves," sophomore Abby Stark told the board. Olivia Renfro, a junior, said the competitive experience and judges' feedback have helped students grow: "Every time you get a good note, you feel good about yourself because you know you did good."
The group asked the board to continue supporting travel and competition costs; the coach and students said fundraising and local partnerships help offset expenses. Board members thanked the coach and students for representing the district and for the team's work on inclusivity and student development.
