MPO adjusts TIP; STBG replaced by gas tax — Rogue River to see $44,114 in 2028–2030

Mayor Pam VanArsdale reported on a Dec. 19 Middle Rogue Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting that added items to the regional transportation improvement plan and adjusted a Josephine County transit project to match actual federal grant receipts.
VanArsdale said ODOT added a Regional Truck Parking Information Management System project funded with an $8 million federal grant. She also said the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program is being replaced by gas-tax funding; the decision was to allocate a $25,000 base to jurisdictions and distribute the remainder by population. Under that approach, Rogue River is projected to receive $44,114 in 2028, 2029 and 2030.
The minutes record the funding change and the TIP adjustments; the council did not take a separate action on the MPO items during the meeting.
