Kristen Reed, the city’s finance director, presented the second reading of Ordinance 2841, the first budget amendment for 2026. Reed said she made two small changes since the first reading: a one‑time transfer of $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards (to be paid from the street fund) and an intra‑fund adjustment to keep the IT fund within policy. She also warned that Fund 35 (Facilities Fund) will drop below the city’s reserve target as a result of the amendment.
The committee recommended approval and a council motion to adopt Ordinance 2841 on second reading passed by voice vote. Reed remained available to answer follow‑up questions, and the council recorded no additional amendments during the meeting.
