Verhus also described a senior‑meals operation that currently lists 66 seniors enrolled and prepares ‘about 400 meals prepared from scratch each week’ with roughly 87 volunteers assisting with shopping, prep, cooking and delivery. She told councilors the foundation added school counseling coverage in January after a protracted search and thanked the city for support. ‘We just really look forward to a continued partnership with all of you,’ Verhus said. The presentation invited council questions and provided a point of contact for follow‑up information.
