First Selectwoman cites federal flag code after resident questions flag placement at Meadowview Park

In her response, First Selectwoman Jennifer A. Mahr quoted the U.S. Flag Code and reassured the writer that the flags are flown on separate staffs at the same height.
Mahr included statutory language in the reply: “When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size.” DPW representative Joe Bernardi told the board he had not observed lighting on the new flagpoles; Mahr said she would look into illumination for the site.
The exchange and the statute were entered into the meeting record as correspondence; no formal board action was required.
