Firefighter reports busy day, department received $10,000 in grants for PPE

Firefighter David Buckley told council members that Sept. 25 was a busy day for the department, with 10 calls in addition to activity related to the Long Hollow Fire. Buckley said 17 volunteers responded using nine pieces of equipment during the multiple calls.
Buckley also reported two grants: $9,000 from GESA Credit Union and $1,000 from Pipeline. The minutes state those grants will be used to purchase PPE including helmets, turnout gear, gloves and flashlights.
