Resident asks council about preliminary FEMA flood maps; staff to report back after follow‑up meetings

At the Sept. 16 meeting, resident Adam Hoffman asked the Colfax City Council about preliminary FEMA flood maps covering the area. Shawn McSweeney, the city’s Building and Community Development official, said he and Public Works Director Matt Hammer had attended a meeting on the FEMA maps and that more meetings are planned; they will attend and update the council with any updated information.
