Waubay council orders PFAS testing, hears water and sewer updates

During the April 7 meeting, maintenance staff reported that chlorine levels were tested and the results were emailed to the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (SD DENR), and that overall water usage was down. Council member Soldier moved and Council member Rerick seconded a motion to conduct PFAS testing; the motion carried.
On sewer operations, Council member Andres moved that Jason contact Hydro to arrange cleaning and treatment for lift stations 6 and 8; Council member Rerick seconded and the motion carried. Wade Anderson attended water distribution classes in Aberdeen and was noted in the record as continuing water training.
