Town Manager: West Valley meeting raised waterline needs; sound ordinance due in March; election dates changed

Town Manager Katherine Valenzuela reported that she and Mayor Tommy Sikes attended the West Valley Mayors' and Managers' meeting in Youngtown and that attendees discussed waterline needs in Gila Bend and the possibility of using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to replace lines that require replacement. Valenzuela said she will bring a sound ordinance to Council in March for discussion.
Valenzuela also reviewed election schedule changes: "Primary Election was moved up by two weeks and is now being held July 21, 2026. General election will be November 3, 2026." Council did not take action on the sound ordinance at this meeting; the item is scheduled for future consideration.
