Board hears detailed proposal to create Mapleton Athletic Hall of Fame

The presenter also described digitization work that local historian Jim Hayes has offered to do for yearbooks and suggested partnering with student project-based learning (PBL) classes to document stories. Board members agreed the plan had community appeal and asked the presenter to bring sample bylaws and a draft selection-committee charge to the next meeting.
No formal board action was taken; the discussion closed with an agreement to return with concrete proposals and examples for review.
