Board approves revised transformer work after utility constraints found

The superintendent and board clerk (speaker 2) told the board the last plan for the transformer project had been scrapped and replaced with a revised scope that uses a hydro-excavation method because of dense underground utilities, septic infrastructure and buried wiring. "Mueller Electric felt a little leery about just starting digging away with an excavator, so they're gonna use this piece of water and access in that way," the superintendent said.
Trustee (speaker 4) moved the board to approve the updated electrical work. The superintendent provided line-item figures during discussion, saying, "The total change would be that 5,500 in there," and noting an additional $11,440 estimated for services related to moving the transformer and protective work around the shop building and announcer's booth. The board voted to approve the updated scope as recorded by the clerk; the superintendent said the cost would come from the district's portion of the project and that Fuller/Mueller Electric expected to reduce some slab-removal costs.
The superintendent characterized the revision as an update to previously approved underground work rather than an additional project. He asked the clerk to record the motion and clarified movers and seconders for the record. Board members asked for follow-up details on contractor timing and cost reconciliation; the superintendent said he would work with the contractor to finalize next steps.
