Seneca swears in two councilors; Andrea Combs chosen mayor

At the Jan. 10 meeting Seneca swore in Melissa Pettyjohn and Brad Smith and unanimously selected Andrea Combs as mayor. The council also approved the Dec. 13, 2016 minutes.
City Manager Josh Walker read the county election results and the council administered the oath of office to Melissa Pettyjohn and Brad Smith at 5:59 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2017. Councilor Pettyjohn moved to nominate Andrea Combs as mayor and Councilor Brad Smith seconded; all were in favor and Combs accepted the nomination.
Following the swearing-in the council reviewed the minutes from the Dec. 13, 2016 regular meeting and, with no changes requested, voted to approve them. The meeting continued to other agenda items after the organizational actions.
