In a series of routine motions, the board approved an independent contractor agreement for the school board clerk through June 30 and authorized out‑of‑state travel for students attending BPA Nationals (travel and costs to be covered by BPA fundraising). Committee member (S2) moved both items and votes carried.
The board also reviewed proposed policy updates. Trustees voted to approve the 6000 series as presented but held particular 7400‑series procurement language for further clarification about what the phrase "price to be reasonable by comparison" requires for micro‑purchases and whether bid bonds or formal bid processes are required in specific circumstances. Staff will bring clarified language back for a second reading.
