Andrea Officer was sworn in as a new council member and was elected mayor at the Jan. 14 meeting; Brad Smith had called the meeting to order. The council also reappointed Barbara Northington as council president.
Mayor Andrea Officer read and confirmed an authorization updating the City of Seneca's safety-deposit-box signatories at the Bank of Eastern Oregon. Officer read: "The council hereby gives permission for Andrea Officer, Chuck White and Melvin Herberger the ability to be signatories and have access to the safety deposit box at the Bank of Eastern Oregon for the City of Seneca during their term as council members. We give Deborah Oatman permission to access the same safety deposit box and remove Jay Kenyon, Melissa Pettyjohn, Brad Smith, Sue Holliday, and Suzanne Hood from the safety deposit box and as signatories for the City of Seneca." The authorization was recorded in the meeting minutes; the meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
