Events staff seeks volunteers as Taste of Orem set for Sept. 19

Events staff told the Orem Natural Resources Stewardship Committee that Taste of Orem will be held Sept. 19 from noon to 8 p.m. and that organizers are planning to include about 25 restaurants plus on-stage entertainment. "Our next big event is Taste of Orem, and we're just super excited," the presenter said (Events staff, SEG 041).
The presenter asked committee members to take on assignments for information tents and stage entertainment coordination, noting that many restaurants that participated last year have already agreed to return. Committee members were also asked to forward vendor or entertainment contacts to staff so city risk management can begin vetting. The committee was told that the event planning timeline requires lead time to complete insurance and safety reviews.
