Trustees approved several personnel and governance items during the meeting. The board voted to rename the classified job title from "bilingual family liaison" to "family liaison" while maintaining bilingual proficiency as a required qualification to make the role clearly available to all families. The board also approved a new grant-funded attendance liaison position (community schools grant) tasked with early attendance outreach and interventions.
On other action items, trustees approved a FlockWorks/BlockWorks mural proposal for Lamar Park, added the USDA nondiscrimination statement to the student wellness policy (BP 5030) to align with administrative reviews, and adopted a conflict-of-interest code resolution required by law. The board also accepted a clean Measure B audit report with no findings and approved teacher consent forms and other routine consent-agenda items. Roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting for each action.
