‘Rock the Block,’ Running with the Law and expanded adult‑center hours among upcoming recreation offerings

Recreation manager Susan (S5) asked the committee to note that Rock the Block is scheduled for September 4 with priority vendor opportunities for downtown businesses and that organizers adjusted the stage and vendor layout after last year's feedback. "Mark your calendars. We have been down all of New Bridal Street and Court Street hand delivering welcome and invites for vendors," S5 said.
S5 also said Running with the Law is on August 4 (starting at Riverwalk Park) and that National Night Out at the Commons will be in October (committee members later clarified October 10). On the adult‑center hours trial, S5 said staff will open the facility on a trial basis beginning August 8 for open play (table tennis, cards, line dance) but cautioned the program relies on available staffing.
