The City of Roswell is nearing completion of its Comprehensive Growth Plan 2045, an “overarching strategy” to guide how the city grows, invests and preserves its character over the next two decades, an agency official said. “The city of Roswell is nearing completion of its comprehensive growth plan for 2045, a long range road map that will help guide how our community grows, invests, and preserves what makes Roswell special over the next 2 decades,” the agency official (S1) said in opening remarks.
City staff described the plan as community driven and tied to earlier efforts such as the transportation master plan and the economic strategy. A staff presenter said the Stakeholder Steering Committee was charged with evaluating key issues, economic opportunities and trade‑offs. Committee members and residents who participated urged ongoing public engagement and said the plan is intended to shape actions undertaken now as well as goals for 2045. As the plan moves toward adoption, staff said it will serve as a guiding framework for decisions affecting the city’s economic growth and residents’ quality of life.
