The South Shore Town Board announced a fall citywide cleanup for Sept. 21, 2024 from 8 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, for in-town residents only. The cleanup will be staged on the north side of the empty lot across from Scotty’s; the town said a second dumpster will be provided if the first fills.
On municipal planning, the municipal liquor store committee reported it has met once and is still organizing. The board indicated a special public meeting on the topic will be held sometime in January 2025 to gather wider input.
No public comments were offered during the meeting's public-input period, which the board limits to three minutes per speaker and for which no action can be taken on items not listed on the agenda.
