South Shore approves multiple liquor license renewals; one board member abstains

The Town Board voted to renew a series of liquor licenses for local businesses during its Oct. 17 meeting. Motions to renew licenses for Scotty’s Black Lab Tavern (PL-4865 and RL-5982), Meyer’s Recreation (PL-19902 and RL-6218), and Snoozy’s (RL-29573) were moved by J. Dolen, seconded by S. Schmeichel, and approved. Board member S. Johanson recorded an abstention on each of these votes, a conflict noted at the start of the meeting.
Each renewal passed with two votes in favor and one abstention; no votes were recorded as opposed. The board did not attach additional conditions to the renewals at the meeting and the clerk will proceed with documenting the approvals.
