South Shore board approves finances; lists fund balances and $10,082.10 in warrants

President Jamie Dolen called the Town Board of South Shore to order on Oct. 17, 2024, and the board unanimously approved the financial report and warrants presented by Finance Officer Michelle Zirbel. Zirbel reported fund balances of General $107,557.58; Water $113,972.37; Water Surcharge $23,523.00; Sewer $114,214.37; Sewer Surcharge $29,526.08; and CDs $33,041.84. The outstanding sewer loan principal was listed as $118,294.07.
The board reviewed itemized warrants across the General, Water and Sewer funds, with a combined total of $10,082.10. Noted line items included public works wages, mosquito spraying, utility charges, an RD USDA loan payment of $2,431.00, and various supplies and services. The motion to approve the finances and warrants was made by S. Schmeichel, seconded by S. Johanson, and passed unanimously. The board did not take additional budgetary action at this meeting.
