Board honors Clovis Unified national FFA champions and student voices

Speaker highlights included named team members: Kayla Diaz (named first high individual), Kenny Diaz (second high individual), Faith Kolup (fourth high individual) and Chris Lane (13th). The team’s national recognition included medals, a plaque and scholarship awards. Several students from Kepler also spoke during the public hearing, describing how the school’s interventions and supports helped them feel ready for the next grade.
Board members praised student perseverance and the county’s CTE pathways, and asked brief follow‑up questions about students’ future plans and program structures.
