The Town of Nutter Fort Council approved two finance actions at its Aug. 13 meeting: the purchase of a 2024 Ford F‑350 for Public Works and payoff of the remaining balance on a 2015 Nutter Fort EMS ambulance. Both motions were made by Councilor Charlene Louk and seconded by Councilor Karen Phillips; the motions carried unanimously.
Council records indicate the F‑350 will be bought through T&S Ford using Sales & Use tax funding. The inter-department reassignment that created the need for the replacement (an existing Public Works truck was assigned to Nutter Fort EMS) was discussed alongside the town’s fleet inventory and replacement timeline. Council also approved paying off the 2015 EMS ambulance with Sales & Use tax funding.
The Public Works report that followed outlined additional outfitting costs for the new F‑350 (snowplow assembly and harness $3,553; used radio $1,400; striping $950). The council approved EMS outfitting purchases for the truck—lighting, striping and a medical equipment box—through a separate motion at the meeting.
