The Nutter Fort Town Council unanimously appointed Emily Lamm to the vacant council seat formerly occupied by Jim Link. The appointment came after Mayor Sam Maxson and two council members interviewed five candidates; Councilor Rick Lafferty moved to appoint Lamm and Councilor Charlene Louk seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The council also unanimously appointed Kathy Powell to the town's Library Board with Recorder Natalie Haddix moving the appointment and Councilor Karen Phillips seconding. Both appointments run through June 30, 2025. No votes against or abstentions were recorded in the minutes.
