Fire chief outlines holiday events; EMS reports 118 runs year-to-date

Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix used the Nov. 12 meeting to report several upcoming fire-department events and to thank other town departments for recent support.
"Wanted to recognize the Nutter Fort Public Works Department for being such a huge help with the NFFD Ultimate Giveaway. If it wasn’t for their help, it would’ve taken significantly longer to set up on Friday. Their assistance was greatly appreciated," Haddix said during the public comment portion of the meeting. He also said staff should look for NFFD Christmas dinner invitations and that the department's Santa Run is scheduled for Dec. 15, 2024.
An EMS/ambulance written report noted 49 emergency calls, 69 basic life support (BLS) transports and 4 advanced life support (ALS) transports, for a total of 118 calls. The minutes record the EMS report as submitted in writing because staff were out on a call at the time of the meeting.
