Advisory board plans expanded outreach to HOAs and neighboring municipalities

The board spent a substantial portion of the July 27 meeting planning an awareness campaign to expand outreach beyond Miami Lakes to Miramar, Doral, Hialeah Gardens, Riviera Isles, Sunset Falls, Homestead and Broward communities.
Francesca (S2) urged the board to contact HOA presidents and property managers and requested an updated spreadsheet to organize outreach. "When you have the spreadsheet available, if you can email it to the entire board," Francesca said; S4 (staff) agreed to ask Ayl and to send the list by Wednesday. Members proposed dividing a list of roughly 50 contacts among board volunteers to make outreach calls and schedule HOA presentations before the holiday season.
Members emphasized that a local HOA-level approach could overcome perception barriers (residents in Broward had been reluctant before) and that on-site visits and photo documentation of damage could strengthen outreach and legislative advocacy in Tallahassee.
