At its Oct. 15 meeting the Fort Bragg Unified board approved several routine agreements and actions in its consent calendar.
Key approvals included a 10-year memorandum of understanding with North Coast Opportunities Head Start clarifying land ownership and indemnities for the portable adjacent to Redwood Elementary; the board also approved an electronic-only (option B) Mendocino County Library Student Success Card MOU that will provide anonymous digital library access to students via their student ID numbers while preserving privacy and parent opt-out. Trustees also completed the required vote to approve the alternative-education schedule waiver so staff can submit the package to the state. The rest of the consent calendar (warrants, personnel reports and contracts) passed in one motion.
Board members noted staff will provide outreach and marketing materials for the library program and continued coordination on MOU language and timelines for the Head Start site.
