On two separate agenda items the board approved guaranteed maximum price (GMP) lease-leaseback contracts for DSA project O1121844 (Dana Gray classroom conversion) and DSA project O1121845 (Fort Bragg Middle School Room 306 conversion). Staff said the projects will repurpose existing indoor space to create student restrooms, a student kitchen and support spaces; staff reported the projects will be funded from redevelopment (RDA) funds the district has banked for facilities work and other district facility resources. Trustees discussed subcontractor availability in the rural market and set not-to-exceed parameters for the inspector contract to limit exposure.
