Board adopts 2025'26 academic calendar and reschedules organizational meeting to mid-December

Trustees approved the 2025-26 academic calendar (adjusted start and end dates) and agreed to move the district's December organizational meeting to Dec. 16 because of election-certification timing; trustees also set several board meeting-date corrections for next year.
The Fort Bragg Unified board adopted the 2025-26 academic calendar on Oct. 15 after minor corrections to presented dates (the district clarified the start date as Aug. 13 and last student day as June 5). Trustees discussed constraints related to negotiated early-release days and collective-bargaining timelines and approved the calendar by roll call.
Separately, trustees moved the annual organizational meeting date from Dec. 12 to Dec. 16 to accommodate county certification of election results. Staff will notice the changed meeting date through ParentSquare and the district website. The board also reviewed the draft board meeting calendar for 2024-25 and adjusted several dates in June, August and December to align budget, LCAP and organizational requirements.
