The Castroville Community Services District Board unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2026‑04 on June 16, approving the district’s operating budgets for fiscal year 2026/27 and a Five‑Year Capital Improvement Program for 2027–2031.
Vice President Greg MacMillan, moving the committee recommendation, said the package included operating budgets for Castroville Zone 1 and other district zones and the district’s proposed capital project schedule. Director James Cochran seconded the motion; the roll call vote was 5–0 in favor.
The adoption also included an updated Wage Step Program that the Board approved to take effect July 9, 2026. The Wage Step change was part of the Budget & Personnel Committee recommendation and was considered alongside the income and expense operating budgets and CIP.
Board President Ron Stefani and General Manager James Derbin noted the budget and CIP were intended to align near‑term operations with planned capital investments across water, sewer and storm drain systems. The resolution consolidates budget approval across Castroville Zone 1, Moro Cojo/Monte Del Lago/Moss Landing zones, and related government budgets.
The Board moved directly to closed session after the vote and returned with an announcement there was no reportable action. The budget adoption was the principal formal action of the evening and positions the district to begin implementation of the 2027–2031 capital program.
